I had the most superior honor to design the logo of Martyr's Memorial of Jordan, the logo was selected and approved by HM King Abdullah II, I’ve chosen the Muhaqqaq script that was created by Arab Calligraphers in the Abbasid era to be used for grand and imposing matters, the typographic treatment in the logo shows a vanishing stroke sides then slowly it evolves and accumulate in the middle, in the crowded center: the battlefield. Then suddenly it creates that astonishing escalated ladder to the sky, as a visual interpretation of the Martyr's journey from earth to the heavens.
The Martyr's Memorial is a museum in Amman, Jordan. Located next to the Amman Sport city, the museum was established in 1977 upon King Hussein's wishes. The museum showcases a rare collection of Jordan's military weapons, clothing and vehicles. It also serves as a memorial to the martyrs who gave their lives in the service of Jordan as early as 1916, starting with the Great Arab Revolution which was led by King Hussein's grandfather Hussein bin Ali
This project was completed in Syntax.
